Volunteer Positions:

Office Assistants

Volunteers are needed to assist with clerical tasks and errands, file, and remind patients of upcoming appointments. Pleasant telephone voice a plus!

Emergency Department

Hosts are needed to greet and provide support to patients, visitors and guests at the hospital entrance. The host will assist the emergency department staff with clerical tasks and errands, and serve as a general liaison between patients, their families and hospital staff.

On Call Volunteers

Do you have time to spend with a patient? Mount Desert Island Hospital and Birch Bay Village need volunteers on an on call basis to read to patients, do puzzles, watch TV, play card games, or just visit and spend quality time. Help brighten a patient's day!
