Cadillac Family Practice provides friendly, accessible primary care. Our special services in musculoskeletal and sports medicine are designed to keep you moving. Our cozy, kid-friendly waiting room and individual attention from our caring staff ensures your visit is as comfortable as possible. About UsI returned to Bar Harbor where I grew up not long after I completed my medical training and opened a tiny old-fashioned medical office in my home. Eventually I moved my practice into town and, 12 years later, joined MDI Hospital’s group of practices. While it’s true we’ve grown considerably and now include three other providers, we strive to maintain that small town, friendly and welcoming atmosphere all the while having the resources of MDI Hospital right next door. Each of our providers offers traditional primary family care for patients of all ages, and individually we focus on particular areas of interest. By working as a team we often consult with our peers to make the most of each other’s interests and skills. My personal interest, for example, is in Orthopaedic medicine, which is a non-surgical approach to musculoskeletal problems. This approach emphasizes functional diagnosis such as issues of gait or muscle imbalances and offers treatments that often include exercises, regenerative injections such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) and manipulation. Our newest provider, Tanya Hanke, DO, is a Doctor of Osteopathy, and is board certified in family practice and also has additional training in Integrative Medicine to offer patients the opportunity to learn more about Eastern or alternative techniques and practices. Angela DelVecchio, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner who sees mostly women, children and adolescents. She also provides care at the College of the Atlantic’s on campus health center. Linda Crowell, FNP, brings a substantial experience in nursing, including work in the Emergency Department, before becoming a nurse practitioner. She can often be found caring for people with relatively complicated or serious health problems, as well as providing ongoing care for chronic disease. — Dr. Mark Kandutch
