YWCA, Rotary Support Breast Center

Dean Read (left) of the MDI Rotary and Karen McFarland (right) of the MDI YWCA present John Benson, MD, FACR, Medical Director of MDI Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department with checks totaling $1000. The money, raised from the sale of tulip bulbs by the YWCA and matching funds from the Rotary, is to support The Breast Center at MDI Hospital. The donation was presented during an October 27th open house to celebrate the Breast Center’s recent acquisition of its new  Selenia™direct digital, full-field mammography unit. The unit produces higher quality images while exposing women to 35 percent less radiation than other mammography devices.
