Beginning June 19, Mount Desert Island Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department will offer Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) three days a week and will utilize the latest imaging technology. MRI services will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays to offer improved access, greater convenience, and shorter response times for patients whose care requires magnetic imaging. MDI Hospital has partnered with Insight Premier Health, a company that provides imaging equipment and staffing solutions to several Maine health care facilities. In addition to greater availability, the mobile unit will feature state-of-the-art technology from General Electric for improved image quality. |
