We’re building the future of rural healthcare right here on Mount Desert Island. Through our innovative medical education model, we bring students and residents from world class colleges and universities into our community, strengthening care during the busy summer months while creating a pathway to recruit and retain providers who are passionate about rural medicine.

As an independent health network comprised of our Hospital, Health Centers, and Birch Bay Retirement Village, we are able to develop these innovative models that lead to improved access and stability for everyone in our communities.
