Yesterday, Katie Skeate and Tricia Thurlow were recognized by Community Care Partnership of Maine (CCPM) for their outstanding work and dedication to MDI Hospital and our patients.
Katie received the Quality Improvement Champion Award, her nomination saying "She is deeply committed to our success and the success of CCPM for achieving the highest quality of care and outcomes. Her knowledge of metrics, the medical workflows, and systems are exceptional. Her effort to achieve top results motivates our entire team to work towards better care and exceptional patient experience."
Tricia received the Patient-Center Care Award, her nomination saying, "Tricia`s work reflects a thoughtful focus on patient-centered care. She has introduced several community-focused initiatives, such as vaccine clinics, organizing Patient Portal sign-up sessions in our waiting rooms to improve patient uptake, and education for patients to access their health information and communicate with their care team. Tricia also redesigned the health center`s food assistance program, transitioning to a `help yourself shelf`. This change has significantly increased participation, with one location now seeing a rise from 2 bags a month to 30."
Congratulations to you both, we are so proud of the work you do!
