The Edward Gilmore Intensive Care Unit at Mount Desert Island Hospital is equipped to provide exceptional care for critically ill patients. Part of the Colket Inpatient Care Center, MDI Hospital’s ICU has three private rooms equipped with advanced technology to monitor patients’ vital signs.

In order to provide top-quality critical care, our three full time Hospitalists, specializing in internal medicine, work in concert with our nursing staff, on-call physicians and your primary care provider.
