Charlotte Clews, LMSW-CC practices evidence-based, trauma informed therapy with an emphasis on mindfulness, and somatic (postural) awareness to help clients develop and deepen their connection to their authentic self. Charlotte is board certified as an LMSW-CC and also  obtained her M.S., M.S.W (Education: B.S. Evolutionary Biology Cornell University, M.S. Ecology University of Vermont, MSW University of Maine). “I enjoy working with adults of all ages and backgrounds and support all expressions of gender and sexuality. I have extensive training and practice in mindfulness, breath and movement practices as well as training in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), and DBT, and EMDR.”
Charlotte grew up in Blue Hill and has a life-long affection for Acadia and the island, sharing that she chose to work at MDI Behavioral Health because of her value on integrated community health and it’s whole-person, team approach to wellness.
Outside of work, Charlotte is a lifelong athlete, bird watcher and artist. She loves to run, bike, hike, row and draw in Acadia National Park, always breaking for feathered friends.
