2022 Bar Harbor Buoy Tree
Supporting the lobster fishing industry and heritage
MDI Hospital and Birch Bay Retirement Village will be represented on the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce 2022 Bar Harbor Buoy Tree. This event supports the local fishing industry and the protection of Maine’s lobstering heritage.
During the ceremony, a donation will be presented to the Maine Lobstermen’s Association (MLA) in support of Maine’s lobster fishing industry. Donations were made possible by those who purchased and decorated buoys, as well as additional donations given from both near and far.
Come out to see the MDI Hospital and Birch Bay Retirement Village buoys hung on the buoy tree, along with many other community artworks! A tree lighting ceremony will be held on November 30, 2022, at 4:30PM at Harborview Park (across from the intersection of West Street and Main Street).
