MDI Hospital to Launch New COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Portal

Mount Desert Island Hospital is preparing to launch a new online COVID-19 vaccine registration portal for eligible Maine residents. The portal will go live on MDI Hospital’s COVID-19 vaccine webpage on Friday, March 26 at 1 pm provided we receive a weekly allocation of doses from the State of Maine.

Going forward, MDI Hospital will post our vaccine availability for the upcoming week on our website on Thursday afternoons following the state’s weekly dose order. New vaccine appointments will be added to our online registration portal on Friday afternoons when available. Our call line at 207-801-5011 will be open from 12-1 on Fridays when doses are available to assist those who require scheduling assistance.

Healthcare workers and those aged 70+ who have not yet received their vaccine should email covidvaccine@mdihospital.org to request an appointment.

Current Maine residents eligible to schedule their vaccine:

  • Age 50 or older
  • Licensed frontline healthcare worker
  • K-12 personnel
