“He was loyal, he was patient, he was funny, and he was a good listener. He was a leader and he was fair. He was a man of short stature, but to me he was the tallest man in the room. He was the best of the best and his absence will be missed. He will be in my heart forever.”
This past weekend MDI Hospital and Birch Bay Retirement Village held a celebration of life for Dr. Ed Gilmore, a longtime physician at MDI Hospital and the Cooper Gilmore Health Center which bears his name, for over 50 years.
Beloved by his patients, students and colleagues for his warmth and kindness—and admired for his medical expertise and commitment to growth – Dr. Gilmore will be missed by family, everyone whose lives he touched throughout his illustrious career.
