MDI Hospital Receiving NO Weekly Vaccine Dose Allocation for Week of March 22

MDI Hospital Receiving NO Weekly Vaccine Dose Allocation for Week of March 22

MDI Hospital has been notified by the State of Maine that we will be receiving NO weekly vaccine dose allocation for the week of March 22. Due to this, our scheduling call line will be closed Friday, March 19, and Monday, March 22.

The State of Maine releases information on its upcoming weekly dose order on Thursday afternoons. Click here to view the State’s expected weekly dose allocations for the week of March 22.

MDI Hospital has been receiving an allocation of typically between zero and 200 doses of Moderna vaccine for the past 14 weeks of vaccine distribution. A few weeks have fallen outside that norm with additional doses available. We remain hopeful that vaccine supply will begin to increase in the coming weeks. Larger health providers in our State are receiving Pfizer vaccine, which requires ultra-cold storage and is distributed in larger quantities. Vaccine appointments may be available to you this week through other providers in our region.
